I made an arrangement with one of my German friend, and he made a contact with a Security Company in Europe, and on the 20th of July 2003, the consignment was successfully moved from South Africa to the Security Company in Europe. My arrangement with my German friend was that he would travel down to the security company in Europe to claim the consignment.

Worship service was lovely today. We sacrificed a llama unto the Lord and it hardly bleated at all. I know the Lord commands it, but sometimes when the animals complain it is so heart-wrenching to hear their pitiful sounds. Still, burning the sacrifice was most joyful. Burnt llama has a lovely, earthy smell, and the smoke is still in my clothes and hair.

This is not a problem for the Convent -- we will use the cash we receive from our weekly services. I've attached a photo I took of the young acolytes counting out the money.

I arrive in Amsterdam the morning on the 20th. I may not have time to send the security company an e-mail. There will barely be enough time for us to check in and get to the meeting on time. The security company is meeting us in the lobby of the hotel so I don't think it will be a problem. Mother Superior wants all twelve of us to go to the meeting but I don't think it will be a problem getting there as we have rented a minivan. Worst case they can stay in the lobby of the security company office. I'm afraid she is being very stubborn about this, and in any case I must defer to her in all things.

Sister Harriet made the travel arrangements, and she did e-mail the airline and hotel that we are traveling for purposes of inheritance collection, and she got us a special bereavement rate. Outside of that we have not told anybody.

My Sisters and I are in Amsterdam but I have terrible news. I fear that the security company you hired is not legitimate and may be trying to steal your money and ours. When we arrived at the airport an agent of the Netherlands police took us aside and told us that we should definitely not meet with the security company. He says that there is no such security company and that it is really a criminal who pretends to be legitimate while logged onto a computer at an Internet cafe. The officer said that the police have been monitoring our communications and have been following the criminal's movements closely. They said that they will arrest him they see him at that computer.

Samuel, what should we do? Is there any way to get the money away from this criminal? I fear the police will confiscate it. PLEASE HELP!

I have not heard from you in several days. Are you well? We checked with the police and they say that they have still not apprehended the criminal who poses as a security company. They are continuing to watch for this "Monica" fellow at the Internet cafe but they have not seen him. I fear that someone may have tipped him off.

We will leaving Amsterdam for Rome tomorrow, and we are very much dejected. I do not think the police will catch this fellow and recover your money. I suspect he has left the country altogether. Oh, Sam, if you had only found a more trustworthy company!
